On June 7th 2002 the FDA announced the re-release of the previously withdrawn drug Lotronex
based on the recommendation of their Advisory Board. GlaxoSmithKline and the FDA agreed on a restricted program for the re-release

When Lotronex was on the market two years ago there were numerous problems with side
effects due to some doctors not making themselves completely familiar with the drug and poor communication between doctors
and patients. Because of this it was pulled from the market and thousands of us struggled for two long and frustrating years
before we got it back.
