"I had a girlfriend I was engaged to - then they took lotronex away from her and she broke up with me. I didn't
even know she had it but first she was making excuses she couldn't go out anymore or she was so busy - but she never sounded
well anymore. Then, she broke off the engagement and now I find out what happened - all these months later and things started
to make sense. She broke it off right after the Thanksgiving holiday. I've been heartbroken and couldn't understand but since
all I do is think about this, I began to remember seeing that bottle of medicine and one time I asked her what it was for
and she said it was for her nervous stomach. and what she had was Irritable Bowels but she was fine because the medicine helped
her so much. Gosh, she was so full of life and energy - now, I call her sometimes and she sounds horrible and always says
she isn't feeling well. tell those bastards at Public Citizen they not only took her life away, they took another innocent
victims future - the ripple effec[t]"

I have family members with IBS, and understand the difficulties associated with the disease. Ignoring the
comments of sufferers who found relief with Lotronex, and many who are now suicidal without it, is simply unconscionable.
Particularly poignant are the stories of teenagers who are suffering, whose lives have barely begun, and what do they have
to look forward to? Are we not, as Americans, entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? These stricken individuals
are trying merely to survive on a daily basis. This issue MUST gain the immediate attention and dispensation of the FDA, without
further delay. Adequate warnings come with prescriptions, as well as drug interaction information. Comparing the side-effects
of Viagra with those of Lotronex brings one thought to mind. It isn't going to do men much good to be able to get it up, if
their wives can't get off the toilet long enough to enjoy it!!

my wife did. it was a miracle for her and our family. our 2 year old now stands outside the bathroom door
and cries because his mommy can't come out and hold him. he doesn't understand and neither do the rest of us. let my wife
and others who suffer this way make there own decision about taking lotronex, just get it on the market again.

My wife is so depressed she can hardly get out of bed in the morning. Her life is a wreck, she misses
work half the time and now she thinks we should get a divorce because she is too sick to be a proper wife! What has this country
come to that some bunch of self appointted gardians can mess with my life and get away with it? They have had their 15 minuts
of fame now get out of the way and let the rest of us live.
